Glossary of Terms:
CPM – cost per thousand impressions; that is cost per every one thousand times your message appears.
Total Page Views – the actual numbers of separate content pages
viewed within a period.
Total Visits – the number of times visitors came to the site
within a period.
Unique Visitor – An individual that visits the website (and is
counted one time) within a time period.
Retail Advertising – those ads that can be placed within content areas of the site. Custom
Advertising - those ads that can be placed on a specific page on the
website.
ROI – Return on Investment; refers to direct monetary sales return that can be attributed to a particular advertising effort.
Specs – the formatting specifications for a particular type of advertisement;
includes dimensions, file size, file format and submission guidelines.
